    Carved  Serpentine Badger Fetish by Deceased Zuni Artist Anthony Mecale.
    This
    very detailed
    new fetish is carved from a piece of Serpentine
    and
    features
    turquoise eyes and carved fur.
    It  measures
    1 7/8"  long x 1 1/8" wide x  3/8" high and
    is
    lightly
    signed "AM"
    on the bottom
    .
    Anthony was a very skilled fetish carver who was killed in an auto accident several years ago. We found a few of his fetishes in the back room of a Gallup trading post and are happy to offer them to the public.
