I made these out of the same leather I make my belts from, they were cut with a die so they are exactly the same, when folded the leather portion is about 3 inches.  They are 5/8" wide.  These are made from 8-9 oz veg tan black water buffalo leather.  I included a picture of one that is finished but a different color leather.
