Herbert Him Sr. Picasso Marble Bear Zuni Fetishes. These beautiful fetish bears were both carved by Zuni Native American master carver Herbert Him, Sr. They are carved from Picasso marble. The bears stand on all fours with heads turned slightly. The powerful body of the bears are carved with every hair detailed in their pelts, even under the belly. Strong legs end in feet with long, carved claws. The heads have a long muzzle, with the mouths slightly open, and even round nostrils are detailed. Inlaid turquoise eyes complete these elegant carving. These bears would make a great addition to any collection!
Papa bear is about 4 inches long and 2.5 inches tall.
Baby bear is 3 inches long, 2 inches tall.
